
Astroscale U.S. Appoints Jack Deasy as Vice President of Business Development and Advanced Systems
Washington, D.C., December 15, 2022– Astroscale U.S. Inc., (“Astroscale U.S.”), the U.S. unit of Astroscale Holdings Inc., the market leader in securing long-term orbital sustainability across all orbits, announces Jack Deasy as Vice President of Business Development and Advanced Systems, effective immediately.

Based in Washington D.C., Deasy reports directly to the Astroscale U.S. President and Managing Director. In this role, he leads the growth of Astroscale U.S.’ competitive and value-added services to operators across the space sector.

Deasy joins Astroscale U.S. with more than 25 years of experience in commercial business development and government relations. Prior to joining Astroscale U.S., he was the Vice President of Government Product Management at SES, one of the world’s largest satellite operators. There he led the strategy, development and positioning of SES Networks’ products, services and solutions for governments and humanitarian response organizations. From 2003 – 2013, he worked at Inmarsat, where he led business development activities for public safety/disaster response and aeronautical and UAV programs.
Deasy is a 1983 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and has done graduate work in geography and geographic information systems at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and Pennsylvania State University. Since 2009, he has been an adjunct faculty member in the Homeland Security graduate program at San Diego State University.
